The Board of Access is comprised of artists and arts workers, who bring a broad range of skills and experiences, including design, fundraising, governance, and financial literacy, as well as their social and professional networks, and knowledge of artistic and curatorial practices.

What you bring
commitment to artist-run values
a keen interest in contemporary art
experience (or willingness to learn) in the following areas:

community fundraising or fund development
non-profit governance
financial management

Commitment
Board members attend monthly meetings and volunteer their time to committees, fundraising and attending Access events. Two-year terms are preferred.

Current plans
Presently the Board is working towards the annual fall fundraiser, and supporting the new Director/Curator as she develops her first artistic program at Access. The Board and staff are committed to improving equity in our organization, and in the next year will be undertaking specific learning to support us in this work. We welcome the knowledge you contribute, and support you in learning with us.

Accessibility notes:
There is an 8cm (3.5 in) lip at the entrance to the gallery. We plan to soon have a portable ramp for the exterior entrance, and can assist with the 112cm (44 in) sliding door. The self-contained gender neutral washroom is not wheelchair accessible. There is limited metered street parking and a parking garage on East Georgia.
