Aaniya Asrani

Aaniya Asrani is an artist, designer and storyteller from Bangalore, India. She graduated from Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology with distinction in Visual Communication (2014) and Emily Carr University with a Master of Fine Arts degree (2019). She is currently the Lead Community Artist for posAbilities. Her community engaged art practice unpacks social, political and cultural systems with the ultimate goal of facilitating exchange and understanding across diverse communities and systemic disparities. She aims to use art as a conduit to foster more moments of connection, and to create the conditions for community to thrive.
