Cassia Powell is an interdisciplinary artist-researcher currently located in Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh territories (Vancouver, BC). Their practice explores queer digital folklore, kinship + community care practices as radical acts of social resistance, and the interstitial play between tactility and technology. They work with machinic practices of installation, primarily with quilt making and oil painting, as well as writing, publishing and curation.
Cassia is an MFA candidate in Visual Arts at the University of British Columbia, and are one of the co-founders of the Dirty Dishes Collective.
