221A, in conjunction with Access Gallery and grunt gallery, is pleased to present Adjacencies, an evening of site-responsive performances and installations involving audio projections, provisional shelters, fortunes, parades and cake cutting by Vancouver-based artists Felicia E. Gail, Lauren Marsden, Dennis Ha, Cindy Mochizuki and Spoox (Julia Feyrer and Pietro Sammarco). Taking place over 4 hours on September 27 at the new outdoor project site Semi-Public at 271 Union Street, Adjacencies marks the soft launch of 221A’s ten-year long program to commission work that considers the changing dynamics of Chinatown and the surrounding communities.
