Asian Canadian & Asian Migration Studies UBC and CiTR Radio 101.9FM/ Discorder Magazine presents: Pender Guy Radio Listening Party!

40 years ago, the Pender Guy program helped Chinese Canadians and Asian Canadians discover and create community radio. Join us in celebrating the very first English-language radio program created in Canada about the Chinese Canadian community. We will be listening to clips of Pender Guy Radio, followed by a community discussion. Light refreshments will be provided.

This event is hosted by CiTR Radio 101.9FM and Discorder Magazine as part of their programming at PLOT. PLOT is a new space at Access Gallery intended for occupation by collectives, artist initiatives, nascent or small-scale organizations and those conducting itinerant projects who seek space, greater visibility and, most importantly, who desire to cultivate a relationship with a community or public.
