Please join us for the opening of NOW, NEVER, a group exhibition featuring the works of artists-in-residence Rawan Hassan, Alex Gibson, Sidi Chen, and Holding Ground. 

Over a month-long period, the artists redeployed the gallery space as a site for urgent gestures, community resilience, and social care. The resulting exhibition functions as a vessel for their relational work. Rose and fireweed tangle at the edge of a portal; a stitch becomes a mend. The world ends again. Light collapses the space between mirrored bodies; an amulet is suspended in air.

NOW, NEVER weaves a dense web of relational supports amid the long expanse of global crises. Reaching to disparate strategies of decomposition, domestic labour, tatreez, and lens practices, the artists-in-residence seek moments of rupture, working against and within the systems that bind us.
