Our hearts are full! A huge thank you goes to the sponsors, members, volunteers, board members, staff, and 44 artist donors who made our most important fundraiser of the year More is More a memorable event celebrating artist-run culture! As a non-profit, we depend on the support of our community to continue as a platform for emerging + experimental art practices.

The Program Assistant will work closely with the Director/Curator to develop and executive a curatorial project with accompanying publication. In addition to this project, they will work closely with the Project Coordinator, the Board of Directors, visiting curators, and participating artists to coordinate the gallery’s exhibitions. This is an opportunity not only to learn about the inner workings of an artist-run centre, but to do so through the development of an autonomous project with support of an established organization.

On behalf of Access Gallery, I'd like to wish the best of luck to Catherine de Montreuil as she leaves her role as Projects Coordinator. Since beginning at Access in January 2017, Catherine has shown generous dedication to the stability of the organization, and to the rigour of our programming. Her organizational knowledge helped to guide our collective work through a period of transition between Kimberly Phillips and I as Director/Curators. Just prior to my arrival, Access underwent a renovation which resulted in the development of a new space, PLOT.

We're thrilled to launch our new website, thanks to brilliant and patient work by Morgan Rogers and the team from Co&Co. Our new site allows us to share more images of our exhibitions, and provides easy navigation between exhibitions, PLOT initiatives, events, and news! We're continuing to populate our most recent archive so you'll soon be able to read curatorial texts from past projects. Enjoy browsing our site, and let us know if you find any bumps along the way.
